Privacy Policy
Last updated June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how JPE-Net Technologies(“DocuShark”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use DocuShark Cloud and our websites (the “Service”). We aim to collect only what we need to run the Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with an identity provider (e.g. Google), we receive your name and email address to create and identify your account.
- Your content. The documents, diagrams, and files you create or upload, plus related metadata (titles, workspace and sharing settings).
- Billing information. Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number; we keep a customer/subscription identifier and your plan status.
- Technical information. Standard logs such as IP address, device/browser info, and usage and diagnostic events needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
2. How we use information
- provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account;
- store and sync your content and enable sharing/collaboration you choose;
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- communicate about your account, security, and service changes;
- detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers (sub-processors)
We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, under their terms:
- Supabase — authentication and database;
- Cloudflare — website/app hosting, CDN, and object storage (R2) for files;
- Fly.io — the collaboration relay (compute);
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Google — OAuth sign-in.
4. Where your data is stored
DocuShark Cloud is hosted in Canada (database and relay in the Toronto region) with file storage in North America. By using the Service you understand your information is processed in these locations and by the providers above.
5. Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete content or your account, we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal requirements.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — keep your own backups of important content.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. You can manage your account in-product or contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond as required by applicable law (including Canadian PIPEDA and, where applicable, the GDPR).
8. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for essential functions like keeping you signed in and remembering preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
